Recycle and raise funds for Breast Cancer Campaign

Recycle your unwanted bras in support of Breast Cancer Campaign and the charity will receive £1 for every kilo of bras collected. Yes -  Breast Cancer Campaign receives £1 from every kilo of unwanted bras.

I don't know about you but I have a drawer full of bras that I never wear. Either they are old (and I prefer my new ones) or they are the wrong size. Why do we keep them? Do we seriously think we will wear them again? Even if we do lose or put on weight we know that we are never going to wear the old one because we like shopping too much and new undies are just so lovely are they not?

Pass them onto me and I will arrange delivery and together we can raise money for a very worthy cause. Watch this space for bras received and therefore money raised.

Post to the address at the bottom of the page.. Any bra that is wearable i.e. fairly new looking I will forward to my second charity below.

Knickers 4 Africa

Can you imagine not having knickers or bras? I certainly can't. Unfortunately for many women living in serious poverty in Africa, underwear is a luxury, with few being able to afford new knickers and bras.  They are therefore forced to buy much cheaper second-hand/used underwear. The thought of wearing used underwear makes me cringe but this is how it is for them.

In many parts of Africa, sexual abuse and rape of young girls is rife. However, having underwear can help prevent this. Underwear is expensive and owning these items gives a woman prestige and shows they have money. Women with underwear are considered to be more independent and assertive, so men are less likely to assault them.

Isn't it unbearably ridiculous that women and young girls are more likely to be raped or sexually assaulted if they don't wear knickers? It just doesn't bear thinking about.

Until the African Government can be persuaded to utilise Africa's plentiful cotton supply to produce their own, cheap underwear we have to find a solution. Knickers 4 Africa are a charity that delivers FRESH, NEW AND UNOPENED pack of underwear that cost us peanuts but mean so much to them. They ensure they get to the people that need them http://www.knickers4africa.co.uk/#/our-recipients/4532786608. They also accept second hand bras that are still wearable - but maybe they just don't fit you. Underwear is a necessity.  No one deserves the humiliation of having to buy someone else's used pants.
